Whole Foods Market® Challenge: Let’s Retake Our Plates!
Leading Natural and Organic Grocer Rallies Nation to Take Charge of Food Choices; Nationwide Film Series Kicks off Earth Month Awareness Campaign
Whole Foods Market in Birmingham, AL will launch the LET’S RETAKE OUR PLATES Film Series locally as part of Earth Month celebrations. Locally, four films & documentaries focused on food issues will be shown. Films that will be shown locally include Food Fight, King Corn / Big River, No Impact Man and What’s on Your Plate. Admission of $5 per film will be donated to the Southern Environmental Center at Birmingham-Southern College (BSC), whose mission is to show individuals how they can protect and improve their local environments.
WHEN: Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 4 – 8pm
Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 1 – 6pm
