Broken Egg Restaurant Coming Soon to Mountain Brook Village

New chefs, new food and new plates. It’s an exciting time when the Birmingham area gets to welcome a new restaurant. We’ve welcomed many great restaurants in the past few years including The Veranda, Gianmarco’s and Urban Standard. While it’s impossible to know whether a restaurant will be considered “great” before it opens, I think it’s worth knowing when a new eatery is coming to your town.
Next up, Another Broken Egg CafĂ©. It’s a smallish chain run as a franchise. People around the newsroom who travel to Sandestin, Florida regularly, where two of the cafes are located, say it’s a knockout. Miller Phillips, who comes from a family of restaurateurs, plans to open as many as four of these breakfast/brunch/lunch cafes throughout Birmingham. He hopes to place the first one in Mountain Brook Village, but there’s no opening date set yet.
